Three acts, one packed house at Midtown Ballroom in Bend. Elias Alexander and Siren and Seer opened the night, and Dirtwire — a two-piece this time out — headlined: deep bass, hypnotic builds, and a low, hazy glow hanging over the whole room.

I shot it up front and close, mostly wide open in the dark — chasing the in-between moments and the ones right as a song takes off. Lesson learned that night: bring earplugs. I posted up right by the stacks and my ears paid for it the next day. Worth it.
